ouch...my eyeball! (the BIG update, pg. 7)

Oh my goodness, girl! What are we going to do with you? I'm glad I kept reading for updates. I was about to fly over there in the mud truck! Glad Rick is on his way. Let us know when you get back how you are.

Take care of yourself, miss_jayne. Maybe I'm putting more emphasis on it being I've never had it happen to me, but I'd say a trip to Urgent Care to get it looked at should be your first action.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Ouch!

Wow! That sounds alot worse then my pecks ever were.....But then again, at the time my chickens lived in the house, so I guess they didn't have alll that dirt and bug yucks in their beaks.

It definately sounds like there is something in there. I'm glad you DH is coming to the rescue!!

I hope it's nothing serious.

Good luck and keep us posted, Miss_Jayne! My DH had a scratched eye (from walking into a pine branch

) and it took a few months to feel REALLY better. But, he's fine now and vision is perfect.

Last week I was smiling and talking to one of the girls, and another little featherhead came and pecked my gums and cut them! See what we get for being friendly???

Bird + face = trouble

They can't help it, they see something shiny.....eyeball, gums, teeth...and just can't resist a peck.

But then again....some birds are just evil...

I got pecked in the eyeball this summer. It was very painfull!!. I also ended up with a bloody spot in my eye for a week, it looked awfull. My vision has not returned back to what it was, so I am glad you are getting medical attention. I don't have insurance ... nor money. Looking for work in order to get both.
I now wear safety glasses around my chickens.
