Our babies made it

Our babies have been with us for 8 days! Today they are spending their first day outside in the playpen, all are running around flapping their little wings. They are all feeling very full of themselves this morning

13 days old and enjoying the great outdoors after being locked up all weekend (when im not at work they stay in their house, only the big hens in tractors get to go out... this playpen isnt study enough for me to feel comfortable leaving them in it. I do have a run for them to go into when they get big enough)

I love how active they are & they LOVE dusting themselves in the dirt. Im surprised by how small they are still. They have without a doubt grown but not into mutants that ive read about just yet lol

thanks for posting the pictures, meat birds seem so sweet most of the time, it's like they're trying to make us feel guilty!

The babies can fly!!!!! They were a bit over excited for breakfast this morning falling out of their house in piles, used to piling into the laundry basket for outdoor chicken playtime I assume.
