Our Beautiful Zane is Gone. RIP, My Angel with Barred Wings

Thanks to you all. Heidi, so good to see you here-it's been a long time, my friend.

We lose chickens from time to time. It's just part of it-Lord knows, we realize this, but Zane was something apart from all others. In addition to being such a sweet soul, he was the last son I had from Hawkeye, as Dutch is also gone, as is their mother, Lexie. I do have Zane's only daughter, Panda, with my blue Ameraucana, Charlotte, who also passed suddenly awhile back. Some just have a larger piece of my heart and Zane is one of those we'll never forget. Ladyhawk knows exactly what I mean about him as she was able to visit with him more than once. There was just something about Zane that will stay with us forever.

Dear sweet Zane. You know my heart aches big for the loss of dear sweet roos. I am very grateful Zane was so well loved and never had to feel alone during his time on this troubled earth.

I shed tears for you, this year has been sad for us both...... we both lost very special chickens too soon. I couldn't let go either, Hubby had to take Sophie from my arms, I was crying so...... Buried her next to a nice live oak..... too new to this place for any old memories....

So so very sorry, Cyn. I found it hard to read the posts once I read about the loss of Zane. Hard to read through tears. Again, I am at a loss for words but to say I am so sorry.
