We went to clean the rabbit cage tonight and found five newly hatched
rabbits in Nancy's cage. Her mate Ron is in his own cage but they did go
on a date last month.

She hid the eggs very well and must have eaten the shells cause we can't
find any pieces of shell left. The babies don't have feathers so we put them
in a cage in our kitchen.

I'm no rabbit expert so suggestions would be appreciated. I only have them
because my wife did the "Honey I want fluffy bunnies" thing.

What???? The bunny isn't PURPLE!!!!! I'm outraged!

Edited to add: Congrats on the "little" surprise...maybe a baby will grow up to be purple.

Henhappy, the babies are purple. It's been such a crazy night with new
silkie chicks, then a snowstorm, then surprise bunnies. I took the pics
and posted them. Thanks for the purple idea. Good thinking.

Speckled, Oh no! Naked neck rabbits? There's always the stew pot.

aww cute!

the thing with rabbits is..they are kinda dumb.

They think that they have to share the cage with all the babies...and end up eatting the babies to make more space. I had guinea pigs that did so.

so....if you have a bigger area for them, that might be better..

goodluck!
