Our cat Mr. Balls is missing....ugggh!

Our new princess, Pinky, was missing. She comes home every night but went missing. After day three I went on a search. I really was looking for remains. Walked our 13 acres and even the adjoining properties calling her and searching. This cat never meows but that day she found her voice. She had been stuck in a tree for 3 days. I still can't believe I found her. She was meowing like crazy when she heard me calling her. It's kinda funny now. Hasn't made a peep before or since that day. Hope your boy comes home, I had another one leave for 9 days and come home. There's still hope!!!

Im hoping too, i try to never lose hope, this is exactly where my idea of pet tracker dogs would come in handy.
Id love to have a sniffer dog to be used solely for tracing missing pets for people.
Perhaps you could take your dog for a walk too.
Show him /her something with your cat's smell and tell him to help you find him!
Id love it if you can try. If you dont have a pup, perhaps a friend does.
Hugs

We had a tomcat that would disappear for a week at a time. He would come home beat up and skinny. We'd nurse him back to health, and then he'd take off again.

We'd see his offspring on farms miles away from ours...

Don't give up hope!

My parents thought they had lost their cat--gone for about a week. Finally they went out looking for her. She was up in a tree also,,,,stuck and counted get down! They got the longest ladder they had and still had to climb farther to get her!

Also, if he is not neutered, he might be out with the ladies. I hope that is it.
Ill keep my fingers crossed for you!

Mr Balls can climb out of any tree, I've seen it....he's never been gone for more than a day or so and is almost two. I have a bad feeling...we've looked for him everywhere, I think something got him. Too many losses.... uuggh!

I am sorry about your cat Mr.Balls and I hope he returns soon and safe. Spaying and neutering a cat can cure the wonderlust . I am asumming your cat was probably a drop off. Too many people drop off cats in the country thinking they can survive.

Before we started keeping cats inside full time we had seceral dissapear, gone without a trace.

I remember one in particular went missing in the fall.
We prayed that he would come back, but after a couple of months and being inthe middle of winter we wrote him off for good.

That summer I was working out in the yard and heard a meow, looked around and it was him!
He came back after 9 months!
He was very skinny and weak, and it took 3 weeks to put a little meat on his bones, but he recovered fully.

Its a miracle that he came back after all that time, we think he may have gotten into someones car and taken away somewhere then jumped out.

I wish that I could say this was the happy ending, but its not.

About 5 months later he was gone again. Never came home. That was 10 years ago.

I don't want to give anyone false hopes, but cats can survive, and sometimes come back home.

If Mr. Balls does come back, keep him inside always.
Have him nuetered and he will live a longer, healthier life.

All my cats are inside only now, except for 1 stray that adopted us, we tried to make him an inside cat but couldn't keep him from fighting the other cats.

I hope he doesn't vanish.

We had a cat that was missing for 5 weeks, until my mom spotted him in the field by our house. She went and caught him, brought him home, and he stayed put for a couple of weeks but wandered off again and hasn't been seen since. I guess that's the annoying part of cats, they pick where they want to live, even if they have it good at home. Our first cat came to us the other way, he moved out from someone else's house and stayed put for 9 yrs until he passed.
