I highly recommend a poop board under their roost. Drastically cuts down on cleaning time and amount of shavings used. I made mine out of a thin sheet of paneling installed about 10-12 inches under the roost. Love it! I just scrape the poo off the board into a 5 gallon bucket. I sprinkle shavings on it so the poo doesn't stick too bad to the wood. When the bucket gets full I either give it away or put it in my compost pile. I use an old broken hoe to scrape it off, but some people use metal dust pans or the metal things you use to mud and float sheetrock (can't think of what they are called).
