Our Chickens Reacting To Seeing Snow For The 1st Time (Video)

Haha! Is that white Leghorn top hen?
My top hen leghorn never let the snow bother her. She essentially forced the other hens to follow her out. Since she passed on the others refuse to step in the stuff. To the point where they found themselves trapped under a table in the yard in a storm this year. They stood there bakawking for help and I refused. They eventually made it to the coop. Lol

Silly birds

Wish I had footage of my bantam flock: EVERY year: First one comes tumbling forward to go out, steps on snow and freezes in shock when she steps on snow. Up goes one foot, all the way to her breast, toes curled. She stands stock still for at least a full 30 seconds while #2 bird tries to get past her, then turns around and pushes her way back into the house. Repeat, repeat, repeat...with 7 birds.:lau
