Why do you have the cages under the roost?

The gray panel is the regular electric breaker panel, The cages under the poop tray are for broody hens or any that we want to introduce in to the flock slowly. We have 1 Buff Roo and 8 hens, 3 astrolop,1 road island white, 1 silver , 1 gold lace wyindott, 1 red and 1 gray ???? Chicken I.D. mostly guess work on our part. Pls ignore spelling errors of chicken breeds.

Just for grins the dog run on the end, We call the play pen. We dump leaves or anything green they will eat in there with the loader bucket. Then in the evening when we can watch for hawks we let them in there to play. After they have shredded most of the leaves we rake them in to the run for litter.
