This is our diy hobbit house style chicken coop, we designed and built it ourselves. We are first time chicken keepers and the proud owners(more like family) of 1 buff Orpington, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 silver laced Wyandotte, and 3 Plymouth barred rocks.

Looks like the roosting area has no ventilation at all. That's where you need it the most. Especially in winter.
The flap in the back covers up a screen window, not all the way, some air can get in but no drafts, the screen covers a good portion of the top on the back, but we plan on putting some more ventilation in
