Bloat doesn't happen that quickly, it takes hours and it extremely painful. It could have been a heart attack or an brain aneurysm. Both are pretty quick.

I know a dog that did this...but it was heat stroke. I doubt it is hot there right now. I would have to guess it is a heart attack or stroke. Too bad.
