Very eggciting and look forward to following along however I'm super confused as I had an alert saying that you'd quoted me in this thread (and my pics aren't working on another thread - I'm thinking there are some gremlins in the system today!).
I think it is an awesome idea having an incubator in place - I saved an egg mama had trod on and crushed by borrowing my neighbours in preparation.
Good luck with the heat - we (happily) arent' getting those temps (yet?) this summer and I'm happy my 3 broodys are all done!

Yes'm I'm going to but I'll have to do it again on Sunday with Aiden. Going out tonight when it's dark. I've never candled before so I'm sure I'll have questions.

You're welcome..it can really be fun....but also hard to see.
If you have blue/green or dark brown eggs, sometimes you can't see anything.

Incubator has been holding steady @ 100* for a week. Put it in my work office. Next step will be adding water to bring up the humidity. I need to practice, never used an incubator before.

Yea well I'm unsure about the results from candling. Pretty sure one has a derached air cell, one I think I can see veins, but the rest...
