Our first call duck incubation adventure (hatch-a-long)

So I have a dilemma…I have to be away this evening and tomorrow for my daughter’s softball tournament. I was suppose to be home but they added an extra game in that I wasn’t expecting.

I set the eggs at 10:30pm so lockdown would be tonight at 10:30pm.
Would it be better to:
1. Put the eggs into lockdown 8 hours early or
2. Put the eggs into lockdown between 17-19 hours late?

I’ve only done 2 hatches, but I’d do early. I put mine in lockdown a day early due to a long work day and came home in lockdown day to an external pip. So I’m glad I did a day early.

Someone showed me awhile back, can't remember who but thanks! I suspect there's other things I don't see since I use my phone and not a computer.
I've noticed even turning my phone sideways makes more info show up (like profile stuff) but it makes reading the thread difficult for me.

I agree, early is much better. It gives them more time to get situated and ready for hatch. Late could have eggs pipping outside of lockdown, which isn’t ideal.
