OUR FIRST EGG!! WHOO-HOO!!

Howdy! Maybe only because I have been instantly addicted to this site after comming across it a few hours ago...or maybe because I am the proudest chicken owner in the world right now...

we just got our first egg!!!

I had gone out to the coop to remove some girls out of the nesting boxes, as read to do here

, and BEHOLD!! an egg on the ground!

We have noticed one girl (X Rock) who has been cackling a LOT in the last couple days...and was wondering..

I have been looking for info in here and got so side tracked on other topics..

I got a second surprise this morning

We are excited....was wondering if they would EVER lay!

Thanks to all the wonderful forums...looks like we have 4 or 5 that are close, due to the bif, fat, red combs on the girls
