Just wanted to show off my two new little silkie babes. I have a hen that will only sit on her eggs for two or three days and then abandons them so we decided to incubate three of them. Two out of three hatched.. I’m not sure what happened with the third. It was completely developed but never internally pipped.. but the two we did get are healthy besides a very mild case of splay leg in one of the chicks (being hobbled)

Aww, so precious. I had a sweet Silkie baby with some pretty serious splay leg this March and I was quite worried, as all the methods of correction we tried, he either escaped or was pecked at. He couldn’t move well either. Today, he’s normal and a happy, beautiful mamas boy. Good luck to you and your new generation of cuties.
