Hey Everyone!! Its gret to be apart of this community.. in fact Ive been on here for about a month and already gotten more help and information then I could have possibly imagined. So thanks again.. Well I figured Its time we introduce our self.... We are the Harestad Family of 5 and we live in the Pacific North West, just south of seattle . We are pretty new to chickens though my family raised a few when I was 10ish (so some time ago) We current have 6 hens... oops I mean 5 hens(I just found out via your help that one hen is actually not a hen... he had me fooled) and so 2 Roosters... though I must sadly add that the one Rooster we just found out was a male via your help, is very ill and probably passing as I type this, believed to have Mareck's (also thanks to your help) ... Im not to sure on some of the breeds.. I know we have 2 Female Easters,(CHickiria and Basil)one male Easter (Thelma, though now that we found out its a male, the one thats very ill,I guess its now Theodore) , A Rhode Island Red (Rusty), a Dominique (Birdie Sanders), a black Maran or Black sex link ( JaCrispy) and the other Cockerel we were originally told was a female , but clearly is not (his name was Louise, since he ended up being a Cockerel then i guess his name is Luis) But hopefully you all can tell me his breed
I am a Dealership Auto Mechanic by trade and I guess cars are my hobby as well as im always working on one. in addition to the CHickens we have 2 Beautiful Huskies... Well thanks for having us!!!

Glad you're here !

If you haven't yet, please make your poultry a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

One last thing, please get your chickens some Vaseline or bag balm to stave off frostbite before they get it! Baby, it's cold outside! :D
