Hi There and thanks for this wonderful resource. After looking up our local by-laws I’m actually more confused than when I started. To start, I called city hall and spoke 2 different people. The first person said that there is no way and no how to have chickens in your yards. So I looked up the city by-laws and the way I read it, were allowed them if they are show birds and we have to be an upstanding member of the County Pigeon, Poultry, and Pet Stock Association. So when I called them back I spoke with the bylaw enforcement officer and he said that as long as I follow the bylaw I’m good to go? So i'm thinking if I have "show birds" that lay eggs its no big deal. Can anyone read this over and put it to layman’s terms for me? Am I right in assuming this is allowed?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to reading your responses

wonder what qualifies for a bona fide agricultural exhibition? Sounds like you have a way to keep chickens to me. I wonder if they will let you join the club?
