I got 7 today .... and it looks as though Claudine has started laying.... I have two that are identical.. smallish and blue! I know Clementine cannot lay two eggs in one day so it must me Claud! The two blue ones on the end are theirs❤...View attachment 2410529

I am once again reminded that our chickens will eat what is not good for them! We are in the process of winterizing our animals watering system and I see Mara chasing Maggie, at first I'm laughing because they are so funny when they do that...then I decide I'd better see what might be so tasty this time of year...it was a piece of insulation...I managed to get the majority away from Maggie...but she had her beak clamped down so tight a bit remained...quicker than I could do anything, gulp...down the gullet it went!

If it was the Styrofoam pink insulation,,,,, nothing to worry about. It just goes thru them. One time, my chickens wolfed down a bunch of one of those panels I had laying around.

It wasn't the Styrofoam type, it was the regular old make you itch type...thankfully it was just a small piece...as far as I could tell anyway...who knows how much she had in that beak of hers...lol!
