Mom update! I just found out that they put some sort of spacer in her leg, it is infused with antibiotics! Sometimes I talk to her & she sounds good, other times she seems very confused. It's so hard not being able to be there.

Thanks for the update Rene, I was wondering how she was doing. Do you have any idea when she might be coming to live with you?

At this point I have no idea! It all depends on how quickly they can get rid of the infection, which could take months and then we will have to decide if she should get another implant or not. I'm thinking that she shouldn't put herself through another surgery, especially if she is able to get around with a walker, which is what she's been using since her last surgery anyway!

I forgot to post this yesterday. Hubs cut up the large branch that broke off of our Deodar Cedar from the snow this winter and attached it to the old posts that we had for our blackberries and raspberries. It is in a safe place under the tree's so no hawks can swoop down and get them. I kept trying to get a picture with the whole flock in it and I had to keep backing up because the Marans kept following me and getting under my feet!

I lost my girl today! I missed a wound, I feel horrible about it! She was getting around a little and eating well, then she nosedived. The wound had abscessed really bad!
