I believe you are right about this! They really don't have anything that preys on them!No human has harmed one in decades here. It's illegal as they are protected. They simply have no reason to fear us.

Thanks Bob, he's gotten pretty good at doing this. He's taken out quite a few tree's in our yard over the years, it's always exciting and a little scary every time! We have a huge poplar tree near our driveway that he needs to drop and I'm not looking forward to doing it.It's actually not that easy to drop a tree like that correctly. Well done!![]()
Yes, that's been our experience too and that's what led me to believe it was killed right where hubs found it!The ones I've seen killed by a hawk have involved no movement by the hawk. They eat them where they kill them.![]()
They are an apex predator for sure!I believe you are right about this! They really don't have anything that preys on them!
That is a horrible golf day. 🌬My husband is playing in a golf tournament today! The wind is blowing over 30mph right now and the gusts can reach 60mph and it's very wide spread here in E. WA! All I can say is I'm glad I'm not out there. I went out to give the chickens their treat, I usually toss it under the peach tree, but when I did the wind just blew it away. I had to drop it low to the ground.

Yeah, he's home now. They should have called the tournament. He said it was crazy, the balls were blowing off the green. He did say he hit a 325 yard drive...that's what 35 mph winds at your back will do for you...that was the only highlight for the day...lolThat is a horrible golf day. 🌬![]()
Thank you! You add a table spoon of vegetable oil into the dye... mix really well then put egg in and spin for about thirty seconds...I'm so glad you did...thank you!I meant to ask on your thread, but ran out of time earlier. How do you create the marbled affect?
Thank you!Very pretty!
Beautiful!!That is FANTASTIC. Here is an Idea to consider. Last summer, I cut a tree portion, and decided to cut 4 inch thick rounds, and put 3 legs on them. I slapped on some varnish to waterproof them, and use them as flower pot stands, on patio.
If I lived closer to that stump.... I would be begging for a slice.
