Thank you! You should do it, I'm having so much fun with this!Such wonderful pictures - you really are inspiring me to think about getting serious about photography. And I am so sorry one of your flock died while you were away.
Don't feel bad, you can only do what you can do.

That would be a great way to get inspired. It would be a long time before I would dream of entering any competitions. I need a lens with a longer focal length for catching the birds in flight, my pictures don't come out super sharp...yet! Thank you RC!You should check out the various wildlife photography competitions there are - you don't even have to compete if you don't want to - but it might give you ideas.
You really are very good and I am so grateful to you for sharing the pictures with us.
We talked about road-trippin and I still kind of wish that's what we we're doing. It's a very long trip...almost 3200 miles one way. If we drove, we would take our time and stop along the way...maybe next time!I don't know why I thought you were road-trippin.Flying definitely way to go. Get there and rent a car,,
Unless you are going for extended time,,,, anything more than a days ride,,,,,Fly for sure.
Maybe my thinking of driving is caused by what still runs thru my veins,, . After 40 years of driving big rigs,,,, cant shake it. View attachment 2844962
Thank you Kat!I love these photos!
Love, love, love! The grass looks so soft.I got a few pictures today! The ladies wanted to be close to me most of the time, so they were a little harder to photograph. It looks like my boys have been pulling each others tail feathers out...I need to spend some time tomorrow cleaning up their yard from the summer produce they have been enjoying!

Taking a break from keeping the other boys in line...he still has his tail feathers...so I think he's the main culprit!
