Our Mixed Flock Journey!

My lads, who I swear take some highly dubious risks, used to do their crabbing as kids from a paddle board. They've had sharks rock their *tinnie*, jump over their tinnie, bump their tinnie & nick their catch right of the line. My YD & I once watched a shark separate a baby dugong from it's mother & consume it. It was extremely fast & very violent. Understandably she was never very keen on swimming in our bay afterwards.
I can see where that would make the water seem uninviting! I'm assuming I got the correct answer on the *tinnie* :D Now, what's a dugong? lol

That is so sad!
It is ~ but all the surfers know the risks. The younger of my twins once had his surf board bumped by a shark. I don't think he's surfed since. Our life guards will watch & alert but anyone swimming or surfing away from the designated areas is taking a huge risk.

My older twin once rang from the boat while he was @ sea & said: Guess what I'm doing mum? He was scurfing [being towed behind the trawler on a surf board] in Big White Country!!!! Mad.

And he just had to call, to share that information, because we don't worry about them enough when they are not with us! Lol...I think, but I'm not sure it's funny!
