Our Mixed Flock Journey!

Good morning everyone! I was just notified that I've been a member of BYC for a year today! I will have had my flock for a year on the 18th! It's funny, it doesn't seem like a year and then again it seems like 10 years. This has been quite a journey & I'm glad that I've been able to share it with all of you! Thank you for all of the support, encouragement & friendship you've extended to me!

We are so glad that you joined us. What an amazing year it has been.

Good morning Debby! Thank you! How have things been going for you, is your weather improving?

Morning Rene (or afternoon I guess)! We have a bit more snow on the way but nothing like what we got Fri/Sat, we got 2 feet! Here are a couple of pictures:


DH dug a path for me to get to the coop

This is the alley behind our house, you can see some drifts almost as tall as the neighbor's 6' fence (that's a 4' tall chain link fence 1/2 buried)

I haven't seen this much snow fall at one time in years. I think mud season is right around the corner.

Well, I had a first from one of my Marans roosters today, Marquis decided that he needed to challenge me. So I put the run on him, I'm pretty sure he now understands that I'm still in charge. We will see how this progresses! I hope he does not become agressive, he's the one I was going to give to my friend!

Oh no Debby, I'm so sorry, that is a bunch of snow. I feel almost guilty that I'm enjoying our taste of spring weather so much!
