Darn, I tried! I was showing you how to create emojis. It's the same way you made the sad face emoji, using a colon : and the ( when you put those together : ( without a space between them you get a sad face

While I was gone my son said he only found 5-6 eggs per day in the nesting boxes...we were getting 8-10 before we left. I was sick Monday & crunched for time yesterday, so I didn't really have much time to find where the other eggs were being laid, but I knew there had to be more. I did peak into the coop yesterday and found 11 eggs in the corner, right under the roosting bars...those took a bit of cleaning... Today when I went out to give everyone their treat and I noticed that my FBCM hen was missing and she wasn't in the coop. I found her beside the little covered area in our enclosed pen, which is an area I thought I had blocked off, but they finally figured out how to squeeze their way in there, I will be remedying that. I went back into the house then came out to see if she had moved. I found 25 eggs and I also found 9 in the nesting boxes with a RIR waiting to lay hers!
As you can see Spazzy still hasn't figured out that she needs to tuck the eggs under her if she wants to hatch any... I think I have around 6 dozen eggs right now!

Good morning everyone! I have a few more minutes before I have to get busy. We are starting our floor tile install today. We laid the tiles out in the order we want them & marked them so we get them back in the same place. I'm not looking forward to this...we got our Covid vaccine yesterday & my arm is very sore today. Hopefully the work will loosen it up.
