Our Mixed Flock Journey!

Oops, I could be wrong. That's what I get for running on a caffeine deficit.
Lack of caffeine will do that...lol

I've been going back and forth. I'm no expert, so I just wasn't sure and didn't want to voice what I was thinking, in case it made it come true...😂

Went out and played 9 holes of golf with Dale this morning. Before I left I heard a commotion in the chicken pen. 18 of the girls were in the coop, one was in the enclosed pen and 3 were back under a tree on the far end of the pen. Everyone was okay, probably spooked by a hawk. Glad they knew to hide.

Golf cleats and chicken pens are not a good combination...🤢🤣

My daughter and SIL gave me this beautiful necklace for my birthday. Yesterday I showed it to my grandson and asked him what it was, he called it a dragonfly, he's into those right now, I corrected him and told him it was a bee. He reached out and gently took it in his little hand, with a sweet look on his face, then he pulled his hand away saying ow, with a mischievous grin. Our little boy is autistic, made my heart swell to see another development in his beautiful little personality. 💞💞💞

Beautiful birthday gift Rene, and sweet moment with your grandson.

My Cream Legbar girls. It's interesting how in the same breed, one is developing faster than the other. The same is true for my PBR, Aquila and BSL.

Meadow, comb not as red or developed, but her tail feathers are finally starting to catch up to Willows.

Several years ago I got a trio of Speckled Sussex at the same time from the same place, they were all 3 days old. Two of them grew much faster than the third...that one eventually caught up but it took some time. I named her Peanut :)
