Wow. I am dumbfounded. It is just breathtaking! Dare I ask what your cost was on this beauty? DH needs to get busy on our's, he's been slacking compared to your coop!

I really like your coop, I have plans on building another coop and that gives me some great ideas. It really lends itself to perimiter defense from preditors which is important for me. Good job.

OMG, I love your coop, you did a amazing job on that, great thought process and I know it took a lot of time planning it out... I have tried to get my husband to go online before building our coop to get some ideas but he is too macho and knew in his head what he was going to do and it is just a lot of fencing and plywood enclosures....love your idea on how you brought it all together, he will have to tear down now and start his thinking over....lol....

One suggestion, I noticed the birds are already pooing on the top of the houses, maybe put some stick lanolium on the top and inside on the floor for easy clean up... that is something you can just hose or wipe off and your wood won't look stained from the acid.... your birds are truly spoiled

hello jean - here is the nest box we can up with - and Mo Mo laid us an egg today in the nest box - she is such a good girl, now if all the others will start laying... Miss Grandma Bella (she was my first white frizzle cochin bantam and she waddles when she walks that's way I call her grandma) had already laid her egg before we got the nest box complete.

The huddle box are too small for the nest boxes - they are only 24" wide x 36" deep

You have done a wonderful job on everything! If they will lay in those and not in the house...you got it made!!!

Now, my chickens...would dig a hole under the house and bury the eggs so I couldn't find them!!!! Mine seem to be the broodiest hens I have ever seen. We have had about 20 clutches hatch from hens that have sneaked off and hid a nest this year. One hen has hatched 3 clutches.
I found one this morning, if she hadn't growled at me, I would have never seen her.

You need to keep updating as your hens get older and let us know how everything is working.

Jean
