Our Sebastopols

Just recieved our new White curly Sebastopol from Cottage Rose. I named her Vanessa. I will put a couple pictures that Vicky sent to and she took the photo's. I am very proud of Vanessa.

i might get some geese but i didn't know what breed to get my friend axoa said these are nice breeds but i just wanted to as you guys since you own some your self

Hi farmer boy Sebastopols were the very first geese I bought as day olds. I enjoyed them so much I started buying more. When you raise them from goslings they bond so well to you. When they grow up they will still come to you for goodies. If you get them used to being picked up as goslings and as they grow will be use to being ppicked up. But you need to keep doing so. NO geese liked to be picked up when they grow up just something that makes them feel insecure being off the ground.

How did you do your pond? We are starting one closer to the house this winter and have an abundance of limestone like that to utilize.
Lovely birds, BTW. I have one similar to Samantha that reminds me a lady hiking up a hoop skirt in front to cross a puddle.

When we move in here the person had already dug the pond on the bottom and a partial on the top. We did not like how they had it set up. Put all kinds of crap not too good of looking brush. went and pulled out everything I did not like and that was a lot. Then he dug the lower pond out more and also dug out the top part a whole lot. Then we use heavy duty pond liners for the two of them. After all settled we started putting the rock and lime stone. In the middle we put rock and put boarder stone around it. The geese love to play in it when not playing in their black tubs. This one they do back flips and hand stands in.
