Yep, we're all safe.

I hadn't gotten up to close the coop before the storm hit, and when my husband got home from work, all the chickens were huddled up under our front deck. It was midnight by then. I had no idea what scared them out until I saw the roof piece missing.

Peaches, our injured kitty, is not much better, but she's still eating and drinking and her walking is a *little* better, so I'm not ready to give up on her yet. She actually started purring when I picked her up tonight, so she must be feeling a little better.

Someone asked if it was poison ivy the tree fell into. I'm not sure. I don't get it, but no one else had a break out, so it must not be. The big cherry tree down is right next to our biggest blackberry patch, so you might be seeing small berry bushes.

The girls haven't given me a single egg since Saturday, and I've had them penned up in the run, so they're just not laying.

Hopefully we'll all be back to normal soon.
