Outdoor brooders and rain

For those of you with outdoor brooders.... how do you keep them out of the rain? In the coop.... covered porch.... ?

Mine is in the coop.

This is just temporary, but it has been working well. We skirted around the bottom of the "coop to be" with plywood on three sides and glass on the south side. We cover the glass at night with foamboard. They have been out there since about an hour after getting home with them.

Mines a deep freeze.... It has the lid closed with a block under it.
