Today is day 3 of taking 5 wk old chicks outside for the day while I build their coop. I noticed an interesting behavior and just know one of you chicken experts can clear the air. While outside, sometimes the chicks will lay on their side and have their feathers in a lifted position. I only see them do it in the sun and wonder why? The weather is in the mid 70's and all other behavior is normal. They will stay like this for about a minute and then jump up and continue to do chick things.

Thank you kindly from CT
