This was helpful to know thank you!My incubator is similar in that it is designed to be used with an upside down bottle.
I've found that when I use the bottle as the incubator is designed it is waaaaay too wet inside. They keep a continuous level of water in the reservoir giving you no control over the humidity. I've removed my bottle holders and taped the tube up. I'm incubating dry this time around and if I need to add water I'll add a tiny bit through the tube, definitely not as much as an upside down bottle would.
I hear you that your incubator doesn't have a way of measuring humidity--neither does mine, but that's actually pretty crucial! It's generally advised to buy your own separate thermometer and hydrometer to put inside to check temperature and moisture levels. Otherwise you just don't have much control.
