Been going through all the papers here.
What a flipping mess.

So who's having problems? Beetle Baily or Dagwood and Blondie??? LOL

That cranberry mess I made tastes pretty good actually. I think it would be a good on chicken and fish and some sandwiches. Probably healthier than ketchup or bbq sauce with the cranberries, onions and peppers in it. Honey and real sugar too, not that corn syrup stuff.

Our property is mostly brown now.
Not having to mow as often.
Even the weeds have grown brown we would have a huge water
bill to water it allot.

I see plenty of green with all the trees around. It's a bonus for me when the grass quits growing and I don't have to mow as often.

Shower is finally finished, but everything has to dry for a day or two. We will get an extension for the shower head to lower it a bit so the shower spray doesn't hit me in the face. That will arrive Tuesday, so I guess we can take a shower on Wednesday.

Good thing we have another shower! We'd be pretty bad off after a week! But I am anxious to use the new one. Walk in is so much easier for me.

Fortunately we are not on city water, so it's not an issue for us. But walking around out there just now I realized we do have some brown areas too. It happens this time of year.

Native tree here, cousin of European crabapple that eating apples came from. They are tiny and grow in clusters.

Jelly recipe

Cover Pacific crabapples with water and simmer. Mash occasionally until soft. Strain through jelly bag.

1 cup juice
3/4 cup sugar

Bring to boil. Boil about 20 minutes.


Don't be skimpy on the water or the jelly will be too thick. They have a lot of pectin. Recipe is just ratios

According to this they're more likely to grow near wetlands. Maybe I can look around by water here and find some.
