Over 72 hours in the mail

So USPS got the new babies at 455pm in Texas yesterday. Today, at 942pm, they sent me a text saying they arrived in Marietta, GA at 6:09pm. Hubby has a layover in Atlanta around noon Friday, I told him if our babies are still in GA then, he's to rent a car and go find them! UGH. Now to see when they leave GA. Tracking *says* they are due Friday. Of course it said that for the last batch, so I may go crazy between now and then...

Oh and RK was out of guineas when I took him to the airport Monday, so I'm hoping they get a shipment tomorrow, so I can conveniently go BEFORE I pick him up Friday and then it's asking forgiveness instead of permission. (It's always easy to get forgiveness for cute fluffy things, not near as easy to get permission to get cute fluffy things in advance!) He noticed the new Rouen in pictures, I claimed it appeared out of nowhere :lau

That magical chicken math really is something, isn't it? They just appear out of nowhere! :idunno ;)

What they maybe delayed again? Oh gosh I hope not. Where is Ideal? So you had a little Rouen just appear that’s so cool!!! ;) Have you had Guineas before?

Just got another text, "March 14, 2019
In Transit, Arriving On Time
Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered by the expected delivery date. It is currently in transit to the next facility. "

Whatever that means. Hopefully it means they're en route to Alabama, which would get them here tomorrow as scheduled. I didn't know they were delayed until Friday last time, because I didn't call Ideal for a tracking number until then.

We haven't had guineas before, been reading about them for 6 or so months, but read last night they love to be in the road and we live on a 55mph road, so I guess I'm back to the "thinking about them" stage. We have almost 6 acres but we don't have a perimeter fence, not that guineas can't fly right over a fence anyway. I want to put them in the woods, and I don't care if they visit the neighbor (only have one), but I hate the thought of them being in the road.

Where my son use to live up on a mountain his closest neighbor had Guineas they were all over that mountain their goats were too. lol I heard if you want to tame Guineas and get them inside a coop at night let a chicken brood eggs and raise them. Never got any always wanted some. How's everyone doing today?

@Ms Clucky if you mean guineas, Rural King had some last weekend but they were sold out Monday. Most hatcheries don’t sell them until June, though.

The babies have been in Montgomery since 1114am. Says they departed Montgomery at noon but it said that last week and they didn’t leave until late evening. Anyway, hoping they didn’t sit in a hot truck all day (was 80 here today), and I should get them in the morning. A day earlier than the last batch, hopefully they’re all doing well!
