I think we're beaching this summer instead of camping. I'm OK with that mostly. I'll be a lobstah, but a lobstah with happy beach photos.

As part of spring cleaning, we’re reorganizing and doing inventory of our camping stuff. Unfortunately stuff like bag chairs and generator was in the truck when it was stolen last year.

Went fishing today! Then made the mistake of checking YouTube for fish cleaning advice when the primary fisherman in the family didn’t pick up the phone quick enough. Now the algorithm is trying to convince me to go get a crayfish trap by showing me all the lovely things crayfish can be cooked in.

Went fishing this morning. Didn’t catch anything, but I did come home with a new lure…that some idiot left in the water barely arm’s length from shore. I grant it wasn’t a nice sandy beach where people are likely to swim but it was still a public space where little kids visit and could step on the thing playing in the shallows.

Family does an annual overnight kayak and camp. Most of the summer we use the 10' Pelicans for a day trip, overnight we break out the Wilderness System Pungo 12's. I have a 2007 that looks like a Yak, Her's is a 2017 that looks like, to me, a Torpedo (ugh) As DW's health fails Kayaking slow rivers is all she can handle. Refuses to quit, stubborn, I call her anvil head.

I love being outdoors too! I often do hiking with my mum and I also take my camera with me as I love nature photography! More specifically photography of native birds to my area! I’ve actually attached one of my favourite photos of a silver eye that I got!
