i was filling the pool up while the ducks were swimming. my 15ish week old drake mated with both of the girls like 3 times each before it was even fully filled. does this mean it’s gonna get even worse next spring?

also i’m worried because one of my girls is like 3 times smaller than him? they are the same breed but he’s huge (as big as my rouen!)

Odds are yes, they'll get worse. I had 5-12 girls for my boy depending on the year and every year it was bad, and mine didn't even have to worry about drowning in a pool like most do

Watch for damage to the hens neck feathers. If the start to look pulled out or raw, you will need to separate them.
they look fine, it just seems like a lot especially since they are so young. he seems to be nicer to my older girl that he does the one that is his age?

He will almost certainly get worse with age, if he starts to cause a ruckus or distress in the coop, feather loss, then you will have to separate them. I know you can put chicken saddles on chickens, but I don't know if you could make one comfortable enough for a duck. You would probably more likely have to make a duck wig, to go down the neck and protect he feathers there! :D Good luck, I hope you boy mellows out! Avery
