P.O. lost eggs!! anyone have this happen?

Tomorrow (4/10) is a postal holiday...

I received eggs today, but I was so worried they were going to sit until Saturday or Monday. I've actually had better luck shipping eggs on Fridays - they arrive Monday or Tuesday. But at least if they DO take a week to get there, they get there on a weekday when someone can do something about it.

I'm sorry, Marie, that your buyer wasn't more understanding... things like that happen all the time. Those of us that have shipped in/out a lot of eggs totally understand the frustration.

Oh my- all my blood rushed away- I have eggs due to arrive tomorrow. Whew, I am relieved, but still twitchy- some rural PO's take extra days off now. I know ours has cut employee hours by 1/3.

marie i did notice this week that none of the boxes i send out got "logged" until they said delivered, normally they show they passed through jackson.


some of those offices may close but the carriers will deliver

I'm worried now, i've got eggs comming and sent some out, a double wammy

I had to call the Post Master and complain about my local post lady. I arrived at the PO at 4:35. The sign says that all packages must be in by 4:45 to be put on the truck. The lady would not take my debit card...said she shut that down at 4:00!! So I had to go did change out of my van. I get back in with the change and it is now 4:44 and she is ranting and raving that she has to much work to do and I came in to late and she is NOT going to ship my package out because I was to late!!

She had to many packages to put the stamps on....TWO packages....sitting right next to mine!! The DC# showed that she did not accept my package until the next morning!!! I called the Post Master and filed a complaint!! The Post Master said she would talk to her and make sure my tranactions went smoother from now on.
I just went to a different PO...twice the distance away...to mail out my next two packages.
The week before she refused to cash a MO for me because she did not want to do the paperwork!!
