Packing for baby...why do I feel like Im forgetting something?

Quote:
What about for the baby, in case the baby is not deaf? In the last few weeks of my pregnancy with DS, I played the same CD for him every day. I took the same CD with me to the birthing centre and had them play it while I labored and during his birth. My hope was that it would soothe him to hear the familiar sounds while going through the stressful experience of birth. I know there is a chance your baby will also be hearing impaired but in case he or she is not?

Calling Card? Some hospital phones won't let you call out long distance...
I had to use one so I could call my Dad (Arkansas) and get that phone tree buzzing.

Decent snack... hospital food is awful.

I'd say Mylacon drops, but you shouldn't need them that early in the game.

Best of Luck!!

Blanket, right, it's on the line right now, I washed up a dozon of blankets this morning.

No, I didn't forget about you guys, Boyd. I already set a plan up with Debi...she will be my byc announcer. I have her on my call log.

I will have like 5 other people with me and all have cell phones so that's a good thing. Hubby's OLDEST sister has been there for ALL my kids' birth. My mom will be high tailing it but she lives 2 hours away so never know if she makes it in time, she didn't with Lily.

The Ultra Sound Tech said a girl but Im not going for that. After what happened with Lily, I dont trust the U.S. machine! Lily was supposed to be a boy...we had EVERYTHIGN of boy prepared but when she was born...I had to ask the midwife where the "wee wee" was at cuz she didn't have one. Hubby and his sister ran out the door to Walmart before I was even out of the tub. So, Im staying neutral...The sleeper I have is yellow chicks and duckies

, Onie is different color stripts that match the yellow and green of the sleeper. White Socks...Green hat. PERFECT

Even the blanket that I have in mind that is out on the line has little ducks and chicks on it!

Snack...yep, got that also, Ritz Crackers and a bag of candy (candy was from a friend)

Hubby is going to be well entertained, he always IS! Nurse almost kicked him out while Katelyn was born cuz he wouldn't stop picking on me....Yelled at him and actually

s the mess out of him while having Lily. My mom was there with Jr. so she kept him on a tight rein that time. He is not someone you really want in the room when you are in labor!

I know, he tries to make things a little "funner" but he sometimes doesn't realize he can go a little FAR.

Massage oils for back labor! two tennis balls in a sock also work wonders for massage!
bring an extra sleeper or two for baby just in case you never know.
food for hubby and something to do for him to I suppose unless he is busy giving you massages lol
Hope you have a safe and easy delivery
