Pain while pooping, stuck egg, impacted crop? Favorite hen! Help!

Hi all, sorry for the silence. Cheerio is still doing well. She's regained weight (she's actually maybe a bit heavier than she should be? It's been like that before too. Feeling her keel bone, she's not obese, just a tiny bit heavy to pick up. Might be normal though.) Her crop still seems to be a bit slow, it might just be that I decided to let her out to eat some grass the other day. Gonna stop doing that, maybe when I feel like it I'll just chop some up really finely for her? She's getting probiotics and chick grit in her food, and of course she's now done with antibiotics. She did lay her first egg today, since her situation. It was very very thin shelled, with a large watery yolk and almost no white. It looked and smelled fine so I fried (scrambled) it and gave it to her. I've been putting oyster shell in her food for a long time but obviously that's not helping. She's always had very thin eggshells. Should I go back to giving her the actual calcium powder that I did for a little while when she was sick? I could put it in her food. Thanks!

I would give a little extra calcium to start, in case the digestive system is not absorbing as well. We don't want another egg to break. Maybe other vitamins could help too.

Hi all, sorry for being absent, I'm not good at keeping in touch. She was doing really well, regained all her weight, back to normal. She's been getting calcium, she laid a few eggs (still very fragile) which we fed back to her. We've been cooking her white rice mixed with food "scraps" for added nutrition. Bits of meat, broth, veggies and such, nothing that's gone bad or anything. She's also been getting organic scratch and I've been letting her out to get a little grass which she loves.

She is, however, losing weight again and I'm worried. I'm also noticing that since the last scare her eyes have started to close. Obviously she's blind but her eyes have always been wide open before. I'm wondering if whatever made her go blind is starting to really affect her health otherwise. She saw a vet last November when we almost lost her, and they checked her for worms and she had none, but of course it's been a while. Should I be giving her more protein? Mealworms maybe? She's still acting just about normal, it's just her weight loss that's bothering me. She was very nice and heavy last month. Help please!

Help please... her wings are all droopy and she's walking almost "heavily", even though she's lost a lot of weight. One of her eyes has a cataract and is almost completely closed up. It might be a little swollen but doesn't look like an infection. She won't eat, I made her drink some apple cider vinegar water from my hand. She had some undigested food in her crop this morning. She was acting very energetic a week ago. I noticed her last night and thought she might just be hot but clearly that's not it.

I wish I could advise better, but I might try amoxicillin again, or a liver detox, maybe a fecal float just to rule out parasites? Another antibiotic might be better if it comes back again. (Baytril or something?)

I would try feeding her mostly chicken feed, which has more of the nutrients she needs than rice. You may wet it and add some chopped scrambled egg, tuna, or liver in small amounts. If her problem is infection or reproductive, all you can do is try and keep her comfortable and fed. Antibiotics may or may not help. You can get most of them online.
