From what I've read yes, NN is a dominant trait. 2 NN genes gives you complete NN, 1 NN gene gives you NN but with a "bowtie" in the middle.Please keep updating as they grow, if you don't mind? I especially like that first chick with the black just before its tail, very cute!
One thing that is confusing me though, isn't the NN gene dominant? If you've got hens and a rooster that are NN, shouldn't you end up with some chicks that are as well? I don't own any, and really don't know much about them, but I am curious...![]()
It's hard to see in the pic but I did get NN from them. I have NN and golden comet hens over a NN rooster. I hatched 23 chicks total. Only 8 were non-NN. The rest NN (though only one without the bowtie)
