PAINT SILKIES!?!?!

I want to know this too
If the rooster has 2 barring genes you will get 50% cuckoo and 50% cuckoo paint . Males will have 1 barring gene . Females can only have 1 barring gene . If you use cuckoo hens and a black rooster you will get black sex links that can be sexed at hatch . Males will have a white head spot and 1 barring gene .

So on the paint cuckoo the body color would be white with cuckoo spots showing through?

Woohoo!! That makes me happy! I have a paint chick in the brooder right now and a trio of cuckoo silkies so regardless of sex I should be able to get a paint cuckoo silkie!!! How cool is that

I just hatched 10 chicks from a paint pen. 5 are spotted, 4 are white and one black. two of he white ones have pink skin. is this normal? are the white ones going to develop spots?
