Yes, I agree with splitting up your pairs four weeks before you want to start hatching. That gives time for any undesired matings to run their course so you can be sure the eggs are fertilized by the specific drake you want.

Well. . .I guess I am making that assumption if he is asking when to pair them up. . . otherwise you would just do whatever, whenever you wanted to.
