yesterday i left the chickens outside when i went to the barn i did not know that it was suppose to rain but they do have shelter out there. i figured they would go inside if it rained. well it started to rain really hard with lots of wind so i called home and i was told that they were in the corner of the fence instead of inside. so i told them to go put them in the coop. well this morning one of my RR has a pale comb and bad diarrhea. she went 4 times in under a minute. she is eating. the rest seem to be just fine. what should i do for her?

is it warm now? If not then you might separate her to a nice warm place ( it takes a while for your bird to warm up after having been chilled)... the intestinal upset might be due to that. At anyrate separating her to a nice draft free temperature stable place will not only help her but you will also be able to better monitor her symptoms. If you boil some rice in water and then cool that water down I have heard that helps with diarrea. You can also cook up some human oatmeal (you will need very little) >cook in water not milk< and mix JUST enough of that through her feed to make it clump together. Live culture plain yogurt might also help .

it is warm in the upper 80's. she is outside in the sun and it isn't windy. ill try the oatmeal. thanks.
