Pale comb, lethargic , she went quick :(

I had 5, 1 year old brahmas- everyone was fine Sunday afternoon when I let them out to free range for a bit - 4 came when called with a promise of cracked corn and I found one laying under a pine tree. She was lethargic had a very pale comb and breathing with an open beak. I put her in the coop but she just stood around - didn't try to eat or drink. I checked 2 hours later and she was gone! How did she go downhill so fast ? Was she egg bound? Since I didn't notice she was ill I never was able to check her poop. What should I look for in the others? I should mention we seldom got 5 eggs a day - usually 3 to 4. The others looked fine this morning -

chickens don't lay every day..... and some aren't known for being good layers. it sounds like she has had a heart attack, its a sudden thing in young birds, especially if they were healthy before hand/ in the days leading up to their death. it could be anything from a stroke to a seizure, to an ambolism but its most likely a heart attack. just keep an eye out for any other signs of unwellness
