Pale yoks?

Yolk color can be effected by MANY things...

Feed is a main one... birds that forage more greens will have darker yolks... as will those that feed yellow corn verses white corn or wheat based feeds. Some feeds have marigold extract added to darken the yolk color. And even when forage is available, some birds will spend more time at the feeder than others.

Yolk color is an indication of feed and has NOTHING to do with the age of the egg. :pop

I can find any yolk colors on that.
Does she free range and get lots of high protein feed?
she has very good feed, but is not free range. I pick tons of clover and throw it in their pen, but I never see her eat it… all the others LOVE it!

That's probably what happened then. My layers lay dark orange yolks while free ranging and my breeders lay pale yolks cause they don't
