Palm Beach Muscovys!

Hi all - Family is from South Dakota, raised in Wisconsin and now living in South Florida! Weird to live somewhere where it gets too hot to even grow much in the garden in terms of "normal veg"! Anyway finally have some space and would like to start raising chickens. In the meantime I have a gaggle of beautiful Muscovy ducks who have adopted me and spend their days here (Not sure where they sleep at night!) I even had to nurse one back to health as she had hurt her leg and could not walk. I fed and watered her and praise the Lord she recovered. Very interested in learning all I can about caring for birds in general, they bring lots of joy!

Welcome to BYC. There is a trick to gardening in Fla. My mother mastered it and grew lettuce and other cold weather crops through the winter and beans and tomatoes in spring and early summer. It can be done.
