Yesterday I had to cull a Sebright chick for Marek's symptoms (paralysis). Today the other Sebright chick has been acting strange. Unlike the other chicks with wide open eyes (no eyelids showing), I can see her eyelids a little bit and she's been opening her beak all day. She doesn't make any wheezing or chirping sounds , but seems to be panting (today is much less hot than it's been here in southern California, so I don't think it's heat-related). Maybe I'm just paranoid and heartbroken since I feel so worried about Marek's spreading! Any advice you give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you just lost one to Marek's the disease is already in your flock.
There isn't much you can do now to stop it from reaching the rest of your flock.

I hope this one pulls through.
