New chicken moma here! 👋 I hatched my own flock of Salmon Favorelles they were 6 mths on the 4th. Yesterday I got my first 2 eggs. I live in SC. Yesterday temps were in the mid 80’s. I noticed like 3 of my girls panting. They are all acting completely normal I just don’t like it. I have a shade cloth on their run where it’s the hottest. I also put a fan in the run. I keep water and food available. Anything else I can do? Do they pant when they lay eggs? Or is panting just heat related due to not having sweat glands??? I posted 1 pic of the panting the others are just to share all my cuteness!!

It is heat related. Make sure they have shade and water. Try wetting down part of the run, mine like to dirt bath in damp cooler spots.

Also check your shade at several times during the day, especially around 4:00 - often times the hottest part of the day.

But shade, water, and a breeze are the most important.
