I just want to pass along that I have had a hen with crop stasis for months. I have tried EVERYTHING! Nothing has worked for my Ginger until I gave her papaya enzymes. Her crop was pendulous and so huge! I had to make her vomit numerous times and took her to the vet so they could suction her as well. I tried garlic water, no food for a couple of days, epsom salt, wine, colloidal silver, monostat, nystatin and had her in a crop bra. I can’t believe it is normal size now. I also gave her some unrefined coconut oil, a teaspoon via a dropper a couple of times but I think it was the papaya enzymes that finally cleared her up. I gave the enzymes 3 times. The first 2 times I gave it with a teaspoon of metamucil and the last time I mixed it with just a small amount of her feed. Just one tab crushed up each time. It really is a miracle to me that it worked so well and so quickly. Her crop is emptying and normal size. It is truly a miracle to me. I hope this helps someone. ❤️

Would that be the same as just papaya fruit?

Did you use a special kind of papaya enzymes? I see Walmart has chewable tablets 🤷‍♀️ Our chick is only a month old and her crop is swollen like a balloon. We are trying miconazole, yogurt, olive oil and she got so upset when we tried the bra we took it off and now don’t know what to do.

Old post, but curious if anyone knows why this works, I use it in sour crop and its generally clear within 2 days. I use this from walmart.

I have tried everything as well and I swear it was the papaya enzymes, chewable crushed up in applesauce with some grains that is working. Someone said papaya, but I only had the chewable enzyme and the crop size decreased by half in 24 hours. I am so glad you shared this because I was thinking it was in my head, couldn't possibly have been this easy after two weeks of trying everything.

hi, did you give the enzyme just once a day? did she stay on it as a preventative?
