Paralyzed chicken??? HELP

I was watering my chicken and then she screeched and fell over and she won’t use her legs to walk in if you try to stand her up she just falls over and acts like she has no balance but she is alert and is eating and drinking and acts like she wants to get up. What do you think is wrong???

My baby, Daisy was paralyzed by a hawk a few years ago. The poor baby could eat and drink just fine, but could not move her lower half. I euthanized her after a week.

However injury is not the only thing that can cause this. Mareks can also be the problem behind it. But usually other symptoms show up with this. Her alertness is what makes me doubt it.

Check her over for injuries. I’ll call in a few experts @azygous @Eggcessive

Can you give some details about your chicken, such as her age, if she received any vaccines at hatch, what you feed, if you also have any roosters or bullies, and if she can still move her legs?
