Hello,
I have a Silver Laced Wyandotte that we found the other morning underneath a box (on wheels so she wasn't smashed),
She can't move her legs (or it seems anything below her neck).
I've done a little research ..... I don't believe she has Mareks. As far as I know there is no poison or moldy food she could have gotten into.
We have noticed one of our male ducks has been either fighting or trying to mate with this chicken. He's been grabbing her by the back of the neck - like ducks do when they're trying to mate.
Could have he paralyzed her?
Regardless, any suggestions? Is there a chance she can recover? I've read a lot of similar posts - with a few suggestions but haven't found any that anyone has come back and posted an outcome.
Yesterday I put her in the bathtub for a short time. Still no movement...but she did float in there for awhile.
I have her in a cage inside by herself. Giving her electrolytes. I have food and water in with her.....havent' been feeding her by hand - but maybe I should be. So far seems to be normal size/weight.
Thank you for your help.
Sharon
