So the arthritis is back with a vengeance. I think all the walking we did in Italy has completely aggravated the system. Sigh. It has hit both ankles and knees now. They are hot and swollen, so we are likely looking at rheumatoid arthritis.

The only good news is that the crohns has settled down. My gut is more normal that it has been in ages. It's like my screwy immune system can only fight one thing at a time.
I am only 41 years old and my body is acting like I'm 70! (that is the whiny part) I have a call in to my mother's rheumatoid doctor. Yes, I am going to be sharing a doctor with my mother.

Hopefully he will be able to see me in the next couple of days. I am popping Aleve like it is candy and just trying to avoid stairs. I went back and reread y'all's previous suggestions and am ordering the coconut oil and heading out to get some organic ACV. Maybe that will tide me over until the doctor can figure out what is going on. The only really good news is that I get dosed up on Remecaid again in about 4 weeks. That will fix the problem if I can hold out that long.

(in my head I am in my mid-20s. My body is betraying me. I don't think I'm old enough for this!)

Hey quit making me feel old. I'm the same age as you. I have a lot of aches and pains too but I tell people that pain just lets you know your still alive (Yes, I know that's a bunch of crap, but shhhhh I'm not letting myself know that.()

We must be twins! I know just how you are feeling, EXACTLY how you are feeling to be precise.

Feel free to PM me anytime. Us 90 year old 40 somethings gotta stick together.

Also, aleve? My gut would never forgive me if I took aleve.

I feel for you, I've had a broken shoulder, spine, jaw, and injury to my ankle and other shoulder which they couldn't figure out and every time it rains I can predict it better than the news.

I am too, in a way. Since they pulled darvocet off the market the doctor gave me tylenol #3 instead. He asked me how I was doing with it, told him it makes me slightly sick if I have to take more than 1 a day, so he added norco. Told me to take the T3s and then the norco if I didn't get pain relief.
My guts holding up, but my liver is begging for mercy.

I don't take pain meds other than regular tylenol occasionally (and that's just for headaches). I've seen too many people addicted to pain meds. I know a lot of people really need them but I don't like them at all.
